Electronic Book: Publishing Collective Imagination

  • Date: 2020

One of three projects for my MFA thesis, this is an exploration that departs from an explicitly academic publishing point of view. Accountants, artists, editors, educators, students (and yes, some academics) contribute their ideas on what publishing is and what it could be.

Those views are combined in a curated presentation designed to highlight commonalities and divergences of opinion; to let people freely describe what publishing is to them in text, image, and combinations thereof; and to provide a space where their collective imaginations can provide a more complete description of publishing in the present moment.

The resulting volume is presented via Issuu: https://issuu.com/dpm_906/docs/publishing-collaboration.
