The Root Magazine is published by the UW-Parkside College of Arts and Humanities. I was asked to typeset the Summer 2023 issue, a collaboration with the Freshwater Collaborative of Wisconsin. Parkside students conducted interviews and wrote the magazine content. I was particularly interested in developing the cover concept featuring ice typography melting into a drain, connecting with themes from the magazine.
